Dwight Nelson faces more grilling as enquiry continues

Former national security minister, Dwight Nelson, will continue facing cross-examination when the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry resumes this morning.



This will be the last week of the current session of the enquiry chaired by Sir David Simmons.



Last week, the former security minister said he did not believe the security forces actually knew how then fugitive Christopher 'Dudus' Coke escaped his Tivoli Gardens stronghold during the 2010 police-military operations to arrest him.



However, he said there were several theories about how Coke managed to elude law enforcement authorities.



One of those theories, he said, was that Coke never left Tivoli Gardens during the May 2010 operations.



Nelson was preceded by his ex-boss and former prime minister Bruce Golding who was questioned for almost four consecutive days.



The enquiry started in December and includes retired high court judge, Hazel Harris and university professor Anthony Harriott as co-commissioners.
